Villacher Alpen Arena stands for #unlimited sporting enjoyment!

We can be truly proud of our Villach Alpine Arena. A sports arena not far from the city centre, open all year round, offering 18 different disciplines, home to 14 clubs, for professionals, amateur athletes and young people – in fact, for the whole family.

Our Villach Alpen Arena is a hit, a model of success in the Alps-Adriatic region, and in demand internationally. Our philosophy #villachgrenzenlos (Villach without limits) also applies perfectly to the Alpen Arena. #grenzenloses Sportvergnügen (unlimited sporting enjoyment) meets #grenzenlose Professionalität und Flexibilität (unlimited professionalism and flexibility).

Roller skiing in summer, cross-country skiing in winter, ski jumping all year round, climbing in summer. In the winter months, ice climbing and sledging on the children’s toboggan hill. Add to that an international flair, because the Villach Alpen Arena is in demand #withoutborders. Athletes from all over the world come to Villach for training sessions and high-calibre international competitions.

We owe our #boundless success, which is also reflected in high indirect profitability, not only to the dedicated team at the Villach Alpen Arena. Many volunteers contribute their time and energy and are indispensable pillars of this #boundlessly successful model. The sports facility is also #boundlessly sustainable, with environmentally friendly and energy-efficient technology.

The boundless enthusiasm generated by the Villach Alpine Arena is well deserved.

Sporting regards!

Mayor Günther Albel

Chairman of the Villach Alpine Arena Association

The Alpen Arena offers ideal conditions for 18 different sports...

…and has been greatly enhanced, for example, by the three-kilometre FIS-certified rollerblading track in summer. In winter, there is a five-kilometre cross-country skiing trail, which is virtually weather-independent thanks to a modern snow-making system. But ball hockey, inline hockey and climbing also find a suitable setting in the Alpen Arena.

The Alpen Arena is an indispensable facility in the sporting city of Villach, offering professional athletes as well as many young and recreational athletes the best training and competition conditions. As an attraction for the ‘little ones’, there is a children’s ski jump and a toboggan hill – free to use.

With sporting regards
